Aldi sell Argentinian prawns, which are red (or pink) when they are raw. At first, I didn’t spot them, as I prefer to buy raw frozen prawns, and I assumed that they were cooked based on their appearance. However, the Argentinian prawns in Aldi, are in fact raw.
Red Argentinian prawns are a delicious, cheap and fantastic source of protein. They aren’t always available to buy at my local Aldi, so if I spot them, I always snap them up.
This recipe is incredibly simple, I just wanted to share it because it feels like a shortcut to a filling and well-balanced meal. These prawns would also be fantastic for a prawn stir-fry, prawn curry or grilled prawns.
