Welcome to Hannah Eats Recipe Blog, where you can be part of my quest for meals that are both healthy and nourishing and are also easy and quick to prepare. My approach is to keep a good stock of helpful foods in my freezer and cupboards, so it’s possible to prepare tasty, healthy dinners and lunches without too much prior planning. The recipes in this blog reflect the way I cook and are part of my journey to improve my recipe repertoire.

This recipe blog is currently at an early stage of development, having been launched in March 2024 with just a handful of recipes. I am focused on developing and testing new recipes to add to the blog.

The values behind the recipes on Hannah Eats

Smoked Mackerel with roasted mix of apple, new potatoes, asparagus and radish, drizzled in honey mustard dressing, mixed with a crunchy salad.
  • As the cost of food is continuously going up, my recipes reflect the need to create wonderful dishes from cheaper choices.
  • I plan to focus on ‘hero foods’ that are nutritious as well as easily and cheaply available. For example, I use the high-protein, lean, and highly nutritious Aldi Cooked Seafood Selection in Seafood Spaghetti.
  • It’s important to me that my recipes and suggestions help you create well-balanced meals that contain good amounts of protein and fibre, as well as plenty of plants. Either the recipe will provide a complete meal, or make sure to check the serving suggestions for ideas on how to make the meal nutritionally balanced.
  • It’s important to me that the recipes on my site are well tested, so you can be sure that they will turn out as I intended.
  • I focus on everyday recipes that are quick to prepare and then either quick to cook, or left to their own devices to cook, while you get on with something else. Because what most of us need every day is to get something good on the table without too much fuss.
  • My recipes are based on British measurements, ingredients, and products that can be found easily in the UK.
